At the factory and Matt deciding where he will advertise his Elise to fund his project..... (Come on Matt you know youre in denial... after all we've all had an Elise mate!)

Day one of the build and diff is in and rear suspension built. Everything has been loose fitted incase it needs to come out. I could write a whole post on getting the diff in place but wont as Ill only get angry again, thank god for angle grinders! Billy brought my 'Yoda' round, a wise old man who has been building kits for years and who offloaded much wisdom in minutes! May the force be with you!!!

Saturdays shopping trip

An exciting time and a great trip oop north, however looking at it all happening in the factory and then looking at the pile of bits in my hampshire lock up definitely made me ask myself 'just how big is this elephant Ive bitten?'

13th Feb 2011 - Bench/\Dolly

One thing we did do (thanks to my labourer Marky H) though was built a dolly which will be mounted on industrial castors (when they arrive!!) so that during the chassis build and prior to engine and gearbox going in it will be completely mobile and at a decent height to work on

Gearbox got a final coat of satin black too

Not much to say this week, just finishing touches and prepping for next week, front calipers and discs recon'd, the discs were worth the effort as they are obviously nearly new.
